We have a highly experienced and dedicated permanent management team who are aspirational for the service. This means you will have a consistent manager and clear direction and support.
You will be working from our new state-of-the-art council office on the riverside in Stockton, with free parking, a great riverside café, and large modern office spaces.
We are currently recruiting for a qualified Social Worker in our specialist adolescent team to work with young people in Stockton, where Harm Outside of the Home has been identified.
We want passionate Social Workers who are able to work collaboratively with young people and their families to reduce the risk of Harm Outside of The Home (HOTH), Child Criminal Exploitation, Child Sexual Exploitation, and County Lines. You will work in a creative and multi agency way to address the worries around contextual safeguarding.
Our adolescent social workers are on a reduced caseload so that their focus in on relationship building, disruption and creating safe spaces for young people to develop and thrive.
We will provide a nurturing environment where your practice will flourish to contribute to positive outcomes for our children, young people and their families. You will work within small friendly teams, have a manageable caseload, and be provided with strong learning resources.
You will also receive development support, regular supervision, and career progression opportunities.
To be considered for interview, you will:
- Have a relevant social work qualification
- Be registered with Social Work England
- Have compassion and an understanding of the needs of children and families
- Have knowledge of relevant legislation, guidance and practices , specifically around Harm Outside of the Home (HoTH) and contextual safeguarding.
