Thornaby Church of England Primary promotes the highest standards for all of our children. The Governors are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and outstanding teacher to join our Upper Key Stage 2 team. This is a temporary position until the end of the summer term 2024. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivational teacher to join our highly skilled and friendly staff.  As such we require a motivational and child-centred person to teach, nurture and inspire our pupils. We are looking for an experienced teacher with current/recent experience of teaching Year 6. The successful candidate will have a clear understanding of the expectations of pupils at the end of Key stage 2 and will have experience of ensuring that pupils are fully prepared for SAT test. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of raising standards in core subjects, they will be able to work effectively with support staff to target intervention and make effective use of assessment to address gaps in understanding. The person must be committed to making learning exciting and be someone who can motivate all children to fully develop their potential.
