Advanced Teaching Assistant (with an approved EYFS Level 3 qualification)
North Yorkshire Pay Scale Band D (4-6) - £20,037.45- £20,712.77

Required for January 2025, the school wishes to appoint a suitably qualified teaching assistant to join our vibrant, creative and inclusive school. The post is 37 hours per week for 39 weeks (term time only plus five PD Days).

At our school, we strive to ensure that pupils at St Francis are happy and confident individuals who demonstrate the Christian Values during their time in school and within the community. These values support our teaching of the fundamental British Values and extend to encompass equality, justice, responsibility, love and respect. We create a safe and secure, encouraging Christian environment and have high hopes so that children and adults can aspire to greater heights and continue to flourish beyond our school. We have a positive and fulfilling partnership with children, parents, teachers and all others working within and alongside the school.

Our EYFS provides high quality teaching and learning to 60 pupils in Reception and 39 places in our Nursery (offering beginning or end of the week 15 hour provision and a small number of 30 hour places). The post is to be initially based in Nursery working with two part time teachers.

We are looking for a teaching assistant who can:
- Support and promote children’s early education and development.
- Work in partnership with staff, parents/carers and other professionals.
- Safeguard and promote the health and safety of children.
- Demonstrate experience of being a teaching assistant within an
   EYFS  setting.
- Plan and provide effective care, teaching and learning that supports
the needs of the children in our Nursery provision.

We can offer you:
- A fully supportive and friendly EYFS team who are open to new ideas.
- Enthusiastic children who enjoy learning.
- Positive parents and an effective home-school partnership.
- A parish community, committed to achieving the best outcomes for all
  our children.
- A firm commitment to your continuing professional development.

Dales Academies Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of our pupils and young people. We have a robust Child Protection Policy, and all staff will receive training relevant to their role at induction and throughout employment with the Trust.  We expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.  This post is subject to a satisfactory enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service criminal records check for work with children. An online search will also be carried out.

Visits to the school can be arranged through the school office on 01642 769942 until 21st November 2024. An application form, job description and person specification are available on the school website or by contacting the school office.  All forms must be submitted to the school by 4 p.m. on the closing date.
