Look no further! We have a fantastic opportunity for a Customer Engagement & System Support Officer to join the Xentrall Shared Services HR and Payroll team, here at Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council.
 
Xentrall Shared Services is a very successful partnership between Stockton-on-Tees and Darlington Borough Councils.
 
We also provide our services to other Councils, Schools and Academies across the Tees Valley. 
 
The Customer Engagement and System Support officers are responsible for the maintenance and development of the HR and Payroll system ResourceLink.
 
Working closely with internal customers such as the Payroll, Pensions and Recruitment teams to support all users and ensure smooth running of the service.
 
In this role you will assist with the user support helpdesk to monitor and help with internal and external customer requests in a responsive manner.  Building relationships with our customers to provide excellent customer service, working to support them with their requests.  You would also work closely with the system providers to identify issues, log and monitor support calls.
 
You would assist with the implementation of software releases from the software supplier.  Carry out user acceptance testing, including new functionality.  Working to keep system downtime to a minimum.
 
You will assist with reviewing system security on a regular basis and always consider security measures, particularly when changing, developing or introducing new features to the system. 
 
Support with report writing, producing and analysing reports.  Ensuring data quality and original specifications have been met.
 
We are keen to hear from you if you have the following skills and experience:
  • Experience to maintain and develop significant systems.
  • Strong IT skills.
  • Experience in HR, Payroll or ICT related roles or systems.
  • Ability to deliver project objectives to a successful conclusion.
  • Excellent customer service skills and experience.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to develop excellent working relationships with a wide range of people.
  • Able to prioritise work and work effectively towards meeting deadlines.
  • Strong team-working ethos.
