South Tyneside Council are one of 75 Local Authorities who have been awarded grant funding to implement, develop and sustain a Family Hubs Network working with families of children aged 0-19 and up to 25 with SEND.  We want all families in South Tyneside to have access to the services and the support they need within easy reach of their home, so we’re making sure our families are at the heart of everything we do.

We’re looking to recruit to various positions to support the development of this large scale, fast moving, exciting programme which is about giving families the best possible support in their community by bringing services together and empowering families to take advantage of a whole new range of services.

The Family Hubs programme in South Tyneside calls for the creation of transformation roles and experts in the field of family services to drive forward new ways of working and meet the extensive requirements.

We are seeking applicants who will bring a can-do approach, with a positive energy and strengths based aspirational outlook for the families and communities they are responsible for serving.

A sound understanding of ICT systems and an ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels is required, but most important is the enthusiasm to assure our services are the very best they can be. Postholders will bring experience of dealing with customer enquiries, updating marketing materials and literature, handling data and working in an advice service.

The role will act as a first point of contact for a wide range of services delivered from Family Hubs and will be required to provide information as well as signposting to a range of family services.

You will be joining an existing team of Early Help Administrators to support Family Hubs to extend opening hours of Family Hubs to ensure they are accessible to working families.

For full details of the positions, please see the attached job description and person specification.
