Ridgeway is a popular, inclusive 2-form entry primary school with 450 on role at the heart of a vibrant and supportive community. Our children are enthusiastic learners, supported by a staff team who bring energy and a determination to support children to be their very best. Our school motto is, ‘Proud, Unique, Ambitious’: we recognise the different strengths of our children and we help them to unlock their potential – and children and staff alike are proud of that achievement.

We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, enthusiastic and energetic teacher to work in our school. Applicants will have a proven track record of successful teaching and learning in a primary setting and this post is not suitable for ECTs. In addition, the successful candidate will:
  • Have drive, passion, determination and boundless energy;
  • Have high expectations of themselves, all children and the school community as a whole;
  • Have a secure understanding of curriculum and how to engage children in learning to secure good progress;
  • Be a teacher who never gives up on children;
  • Actively contribute to the development of community relationships;
  • Work effectively with parents and families;
  • Be open to new ways of working.

We can offer:
  • An amazing staff team to work with;
  • A supportive and dynamic leadership team;
  • Commitment to your continued professional development;
  • Wonderful, friendly, enthusiastic and well-behaved children;
  • Supportive and committed governors and trust colleagues.
