We are seeking to appoint 2 Waste Operatives to join the Environmental Services Division.
You will be required to carry out domestic, trade, recycling and bulky collections along with any other duties of a similar nature related to this post throughout the Borough of Darlington, whilst maintaining a high standard of customer service at all times.
Domestic waste and recycling collections are carried out over four days (Tuesday to Friday) working 74 hours over a 2 week period, starting at 7:00am, with occasional Mondays, Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays.
The ability to use appropriate equipment, undertake various manual handling duties and walk long distances is essential. You must also be able to communicate effectively with members of the public and colleagues.
