Further Information
Redcar & Cleveland’s Youth & Community Service has 9 Youth Centres and a range of youth projects running across the borough that last year delivered over 1200 youth work sessions to 6585 children & young people between the ages of 5-25.

As a service we know and understand that young people change, grow and develop continuously, and to better meet those ever changing needs across our borough, Redcar & Cleveland’s Youth Service are now seeking to recruit enthusiastic individuals, with a passion for improving outcomes for children and young people, to join the Youth Work Casual Staff Register.

If you are interested in youth work, have a passion for supporting children and young people, are driven to improve outcomes, and could see yourself helping children/young people/families in the Redcar and Cleveland area to start life well, prosper & flourish and live & age well then this may be the perfect opportunity for you to become part of the Youth & Community Service team on a casual basis.

We are looking to recruit Level 2 Youth Support Workers and Children with Disabilities Youth Support Workers to occasionally cover group sessions and activities that may include evenings, weekend and/or school holiday times.

As a youth worker on our Casual Register you would be working on an as when needed basis and sessions could be in any area of the borough of Redcar & Cleveland.

You would be required to support the Session Lead or Neighbourhood Youth Officer in the sessions worked, be confident in your communication and engagement with children and young people, engage in session activities and be willing to be flexible in your approach to supporting those in sessions.

The authority is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children/young people and vulnerable adults. We expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment and an enhanced disclosure & barring service check (DBS) will be sought.
