Darlington’s Head of Steam railway museum is currently undergoing a £35m redevelopment prior to reopening in June 2024 as a major visitor attraction, Darlington Rail Heritage Quarter (DRHQ) which will play a central role in the 2025 bicentenary celebrations of the Stockton & Darlington Railway.
Darlington Borough Council is seeking someone with a strong retail & catering background to lead the day-to-day operations of the new Darlington Rail Heritage Quarter site. This will include the management of the Welcome Team across areas including café, shop, museum & outdoor play park where excellent customer service will be at the forefront. The right candidate will have strong leadership skills and will form part of the core management team for the DRHQ site.
