FAMILY LIAISON OFFICER
 
Grade 7 scp 26 - 30 £34,834 - £38,223 pro rata (actual starting salary £31,500).
Permanent. Term time only - 41 weeks (38 weeks plus 5 Inset days and 10 days during school holidays).
Working hours Mon – Thurs 8.30am – 4.30pm.Fri 8.30am – 4pm.

The Governors of Usworth Colliery Primary School wish to appoint an experienced, caring and dedicated Family Liaison Officer.  As a key member of staff, you will work alongside the Headteacher and Governors to shape and drive the vision of the school to achieve the best possible outcomes for pupils, parents and staff.

Key responsibilities of this role will include developing active parental partnerships, taking a key role within the school’s safeguarding team, monitoring and analysing attendance and punctuality, organising and running events for parents/community, working actively with outside agencies and acting as an advocate for parents/carers.
 
The successful candidate will have:
  • A minimum of two years relevant experience working with parents/carers and families.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience of safeguarding children.
  • High quality report writing and recording skills.
  • An ability to work on their own initiative and be self-motivated.
