If so, please keep reading as you’re just what we’re looking for! The team… The Travel Care Team procure and manage taxi and minibus provision for children, young people and adults with additional needs to schools, colleges and day provision.

The team are responsible for the delivery of safe, high quality and best value transport provision to safeguard our vulnerable passengers and ensure that they arrive at school or college safe and ready to learn.

The team also includes two travel trainers who support young people to use public transport safely to reduce the pressure upon taxi provision and help individuals take greater control over their lives by being more independent and safer in the community.

About the role…. You must have English and Math’s GCSE at a minimum Grade 4 or C or equivalent.

You will also have experience of working in a busy office environment with the ability to organise and prioritise work to meet deadlines.

You must be able to maintain a professional manner with excellent customer service skills, dealing with daily issues, complaints and concerns from parents, professionals, schools and contractors.

It is essential that you have working knowledge of information systems and computer packages including Outlook, Word, Excel. You should have experience of invoicing and cash handling preferably through Agresso.

You should also have knowledge of Special Education Needs relating to the procurement of transport and an understanding of Safeguarding children and adults’ policies.
