About Tees Valley Education MAT:

We are a forward thinking and outward facing Multi Academy Trust of 5 primary age academies, with ambitions for future growth. Currently operating across the boroughs of Middlesbrough and Redcar & Cleveland, as an inclusive MAT, particularly in the areas of diversity and mental health, we provide a comprehensive pupil and wellbeing offer to our children and families, as illustrated on our pupil wellbeing and therapy offer. This offer enables our dedicated pastoral and welfare staff to provide bespoke therapies through targeted referral pathways. As a Trust, we believe in restorative approaches and our systems are set up to de-escalate and allow children to remain actively engaged in lessons as much as possible. We also challenge our pupils to have a growth mindset and to keep trying to be the best they can be, no matter what obstacles they face.

At Tees Valley Education, we provide safe learning environments, where everyone is valued and where learning is cherished in a safe, caring and supportive way. Whilst we have already achieved much in reaching our goals, we recognise that there is always more we can do. We are proud of our good reputation within the region and positive feedback we receive from pupils, parents, staff, our stakeholders and external organisations such as Ofsted.

About the role we are looking to appoint:

The Trust and Discovery Special Academy wishes to appoint a Trauma Informed Practice Programme Lead. This is an exciting new role for a highly experienced leader who is also an innovative and outstanding practitioner.
