The Care Connect Service within Regeneration, Economy and Growth are seeking to recruit a number of Telecare Responders.
The Care Connect Service has bases throughout the County in Chilton, Morrison Busty (Stanley) and Seaham. Whereas the posts are based at Morrison Busty and Chilton, if deemed appointable, further offers may be made for posts at any of the other locations.
The post holder will assist in the provision of an equitable Countywide Care Connect Service to maintain and promote independent living to customers.
The post is a 12 hour rotating shift pattern consisting of days and nights.
Candidates should have 4 GCSEs (Graded A-C) or equivalent.
Interviews are scheduled to be held via Microsoft Teams on a date to be confirmed.
The successful candidate will be required to undertake and pass a DCC driving assessment as part of our pre-employment checks before any offer of appointment can be confirmed.
The successful applicant for this post will be required to apply for a Disclosure and Barring Service Enhanced Disclosure.
Covid-19 Vaccination
This role falls within the scope of the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) (Amendment) (Coronavirus) Regulations 2021. These Regulations require you to demonstrate that you have received a complete course of your Covid-19 vaccination, unless exemptions apply. A complete course may refer to one or two doses of the vaccine, depending on the type of vaccine. It does not cover booster doses. Extending the policy to cover booster doses would require amending the regulations and be subject to parliamentary approval.
If you are successful and before taking up the role you will be required to provide evidence of this as part of your pre-employment checks.
