Further Information
First Class Supply are working with a maintained nursery school in Newcastle who require a bank of Teaching Assistants / Nursery Nurses to work within their provision.

The experienced team of practitioners are passionate about early years education and are committed to the nursery and it's aims and shared values. They are extremely knowledgeable about how young children learn and develop, and provide a well resourced and thoughtfully planned, stimulating learning environment to meet the needs of the children in their care and ensure every child develops a lively, enquiring mind and love of learning.
At the heart of the school's philosophy is a fundamental respect for the early years of a child's life. Nursery is often a child's first experience away from home and their family life. It is therefore essential that the learning opportunities and experiences provided for them, and the relationships they make, are of the highest quality and create strong and lasting foundations on which to build in later life.

The rich and varied curriculum supports a child-centered approach to learning, which follows and extends children's own interests and promotes active and meaningful learning and purposeful play, with a commitment to a healthy lifestyle and teaching children to love and respect their world. The school also follow a Forest School Ethos which the children benefit from greatly.

Provisions are for children aged 2-4 to attend their playgroup, pre nursery, and nursery settings. Positions are available for a range of full and part time hours, with daily and longer term opportunities available throughout this term, and into the new academic year.
There are also opportunities to work with children within the special needs spectrum, therefore experience of learning difficulties, behavioural difficulties and Autism would be beneficial.

You must:
• Hold a full and relevant qualification to count towards ratios within the nursery (a minimum of a Level 3 qualification in childcare)
• Be able to work independently, using your initiative
• Take direction to adapt and meet the needs of the team
• Be pro-active, enthusiastic, energetic and reliable
