Further information

A need has arisen for an ICT and Business Studies Teacher at a Northumberland school. The role is on a full time basis and will commence in January 2017, it is likely to be ongoing until the end of the academic year. You will be responsible for teaching pupils ICT across KS3 - 5 and Business Studies across KS3 - 4.

A caring, friendly and inclusive school, their success is founded upon the support of a wonderful staff team, a clear focus on learning and a desire to develop high aspirations in pupils. Each pupil is treated as an individual, supported by a strong pastoral system and given access to a wide range of extra-curricular activities. The emphasis is for pupils to leave school with excellent qualifications, high standards of literacy and ambitious plans for the future.
The school provides for ages 11-18, and has just under 800 pupils of whom they are very proud - they are polite, enthusiastic and well-mannered and represent the School and their families in a positive way.
The ability range of students is wide. In Key Stage 4 every child is expected to achieve their best and all pupils are placed onto a pathway deemed suitable for them. A higher than average number of pupils stay in education beyond 16 and study at the sixth form.

Students are taught 3 core values:
• Endeavour in their efforts to achieve their full potential.
• Be respectful to all staff and other students.
• Be happy in everything they do.

You will:
• Hold a relevant teaching qualification and QTS
• Have recent up to date knowledge of the ICT and Business Studies within the UK Curriculum
• Be pro-active, enthusiastic, energetic and reliable
• Be eligible to work in the UK.

Applications are welcomed from NQT's and experienced teachers.
