The team…

The High Incidence Needs Team works with schools across Gateshead to support children and young people with SEND. The team provides advice, guidance and interventions to promote inclusive education practices and support pupil progress.

 

About the role…       

Social, Emotional and Mental Health Higher Level Teaching Assistants in the High Incidence Needs Team work with children and young people across schools in Gateshead providing interventions to support the educational and personal development of pupils with SEMH needs. HLTAs liaise with our Advisory Teachers to develop programmes of support, work with individuals and groups of pupils developing effective relationships and monitor and evaluate pupil progress against targets.
