Westgate Hill Primary Academy is an outstanding school set in the heart of a thriving community in Newcastle.

The Site Assistant will join the central Estates team and will work across a large school site with two buildings; a new build and a Grade 2 Listed building. They will support the Site Manager in ensuring buildings are operationally effective, safe, secure and well maintained. A cleaning pitch will form part of this role.

The hours of work are expected to be 10.00am to 6.00pm Monday-Thursday, 10.30am to 6.00pm Friday (flexible in the school holidays)

We are looking for someone who has some experience of similiar site assistant work with general maintenance and DIY skills and familiar with health and safety regulations.   The successful candidate will be a supportive team member, enthusiastic and self motivated.   

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to support other Newcastle schools within the Trust on an ad-hoc basis.
