Look no further! We have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Residential Care Officer to join our friendly, supportive team here at Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council.
 
We are looking to recruit to a new home due to open this year. The focus of the home will be to work in conjunction with health partners to provide a therapeutic based model of care for those children and young people who have experienced trauma and may have attachment issues. 
 
The overall aims as a Senior Residential Care Officer are to act as a corporate parent and be an assertive champion for Children in Need in accordance with the Guide to the Children’s Homes Regulations, including the quality standards. You will also ensure young people are nurtured, happy, healthy and safe from harm, able to develop, thrive and fulfil their full potential.
 
We are looking for enthusiastic, tenacious and motivated candidates with experience of working with children and young people. You should be an enthusiastic, creative and child focused individual.
 
You will be experienced and hold Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare, must meet all essential criteria as set out in the attached person specification
 
You will have the skills, knowledge to support the Registered Manager, Deputy Manager and care team to deliver care packages that support our ethos and mission statement to ‘turnaround the lives of young people in order to prepare them to live in a family’. Our homes are supported by a therapist to help develop and deliver individualised packages of support.
