The North East Combined Authority was formed on 7 May 2024. We’re led by an Elected Mayor and Cabinet and cover the seven local authority areas of County Durham, Gateshead, Newcastle, North Tyneside, Northumberland, South Tyneside and Sunderland.

We are looking for 2 Senior Finance Business Partners to work in a new Finance Service delivering roles that are significant in supporting the success of the Combined Authority. These vacancies are key to meeting the challenge of developing the Finance Service for a new and growing organisation.


Working with managers from all areas of the Combined Authority, Senior Finance Business Partners will need to develop and maintain effective working relationships to support effective decision making and management of financial resources in a dynamic and challenging environment.


We’re looking for people with a demonstrable track record of providing advice and guidance to revenue and capital projects, experience with providing support to senior managers and budget holders and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Post holders will work flexibly with a varying number of services across the Combined Authority
