An opportunity has arisen until September 2024 for a SeaScapes Access and Volunteering Officer who will lead on access and volunteering themes for the Tyne to Tees Shores and Seas Landscape Partnership Scheme (known as SeaScapes).
SeaScapes is a National Lottery Heritage Fund supported scheme, with NLHF contributing £2.9 million towards a total project budget of £5 million.
The post holder will manage all elements of the volunteer journey from recruitment to exit. It will support colleagues in managing their own volunteers ensuring that they are well supported, trained and developed during their time with us, and that the vision of SeaScapes is evident in everyone's work.
They will also lead on assigned access projects to physically reconnect communities to the sea, and the delivery of the small grants programme.
Applicants should have a degree in countryside management, access, outdoor recreation and volunteering or a related field (or equivalent) OR significant experience in a similar role. Significant experience of working with business, community representatives and volunteers in developing and delivering action plans is essential.
