Please note that this post is term time, the equivalent salary for 52 weeks would be £28,927.22 - £35,313.43. Salary is dependent on experience.

Clennell Education Solutions (CES) provides support for schools and education establishments for all of their Behaviour and Safety needs. The CES service has three core professional functions: Leadership Support, Operational Support and Trust/Partnership Development.

To support school leaders and settings meet their statutory requirements we provide a one stop shop for all areas of support. We have a team of highly qualified and experienced Safeguarding Consultants who have previously worked successfully with educational establishments for many years. We tailor our service to meet specific needs of our customers because we understand that all establishments are different.

We are currently looking to appoint a School Family Worker to join our busy team, promoting excellent relationships between home and school.


This person will be responsible for:

• Ensuring pupils gain maximum benefit from their education, including attending school regularly and on time.

• Engaging with pupils, parent and carers and offering appropriate support.

• Liaising with school staff, other agencies and organisations.

• Representing the schools at meetings, sharing information from the school.

• Proactively working to identify pupils and families who need support; and then working with colleagues across the school to improve pupils' attendance and attainment.

• Keeping meticulous records using schools IT and paper systems.


The applicant must have the following personal qualities:

• The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.

• A can do attitude.

• Empathy.

• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

• Ability to manage confidential information

• Experience of working with people from a variety of backgrounds, and dealing with challenging situations would be advantageous.

• An ability to drive and use own car for work (expenses paid) would be an advantage.
