We have a vacancy working with children, young people and their families who may have emotional or behavioural difficulties and also children with disabilities. Some children and young people we work with have difficulties forming relationships, following routines and accepting boundaries and can display challenging behaviour.

You might be working in the child’s home, in the community or in a range of other settings to provide support. You will be required to undertake a variety of tasks to support children, young people and their families which will include, transport, supportive visits, supervised contact, personal care, dealing with challenging situations and participating in a range of activities.

Applicants must:

• Have the ability to relate to children, young people and their families
• Have an understanding of child development
• Have a QCF or NVQ Level 3 in Care or be willing to work towards achieving this qualification
• Be enthusiastic and fast thinking

You will also be required to work unsocial hours as most work is carried out during the evening, weekends, overnight, early mornings and throughout school holidays. A full UK Driving License and access to a car is essential.
