We have recently undertaken a review of our Property Services Team and we are building our capacity as we continue to grow and develop new services through our “People, Potential and Partnerships” strategy. We are excited to be developing our Property Services Team to provide comprehensive services to support our customers and colleagues.

We manage a range of properties nationally from specialist supported accommodation for people with complex needs as well as a number of schemes providing support to people with learning and/or physical disabilities, we also provide support to some of the most vulnerable members of the community suffering from homelessness. This post will focus upon supporting clients who have subject to modern day slavery and human trafficking, ensuring that they are able to access to a range of support services whilst managing to maintain their home with SJOG. We currently operate our MDS services in Brighton, London, Birmingham and Middlesbrough so there is some flexibility with where your office base will be, home working is also available.

As Property Manager you will support clients to access accommodation and provide appropriate support, advice and information to enable clients to live collaboratively within shared accommodation schemes. On a day-to-day basis you will ensure occupation agreements are adhered and compliance obligations are met by working with private landlords and management companies, whilst supporting SJOG service managers to ensure schemes to run effectively. Likewise, you will support the provision of timely performance data and information for commissioners.

You will have a property management or social housing background and have the requisite skills to support some of the most vulnerable members of the community. You must have the ability to negotiate with both clients and partners to achieve positive outcomes whilst always remaining calm and professional.


Essential skills, attributes and experience:

• Housing or building maintenance qualification to HNC level.
• At least two years’ experience of working with a property management or social housing environment.
• Knowledge of managing lease and occupation agreements.
• Knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks, legislation and guidance.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety and Compliance obligations.
• Ability to engage with and provide support and advice to service
managers, colleagues and partners.
• Experience of performance management and achieving targets.
• Good time management skills.
• Ability to work with vulnerable groups and have an awareness of issues affecting people experiencing modern day slavery and human trafficking.
• Excellent IT and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritise workloads and competing demands.
