Middlesbrough Council are one year into our Children’s Services Improvement Journey. Having reviewed our priorities for the coming year, we have identified that an area that requires support is the development of our partnerships. A number of transformation projects are in development to support this area and we are looking for an enthusiastic, organised, and knowledgeable person, who is looking for a challenge, to join the team.

The post will be part of Children’s Services Strategic Services team, and will report to the Improvement Programme Manager. The main responsibility of the post holder will be to project manage the improvements for our South Tees Safeguarding Children Partnership. The South Tees Safeguarding Children Partnership is a multi-agency partnership between Middlesbrough Council, Redcar & Cleveland Council, Tees Valley Clinical Commissioning Group, and Cleveland Police. It aims to support and enable local organisations and agencies to work together in a system which places the child at the heart of the process, with a key focus on both improving practice, and enhancing outcomes for children and their families. As Project Manager, you will work with the senior managers, and partners, to successfully manage and co-ordinate the development of our partnership arrangements, associated projects within the plan, and associated governance structure in Middlesbrough Children’s Services. The role will include the implementation of the projects, ensuring that implementation follows a robust project management methodology, be responsible for the day to day execution of the project plan, and deal with issues that arise that might affect the achievement of the project plan and the achievement of agreed benefits.

If you would like the chance to be part of a team who are responsible for delivering meaningful and rewarding work directly linked to helping improve the lives of children and families in our town, and who on a daily basis contribute to showing Middlesbrough Children that they Matter, we want to hear from you!
