Join our Dynamic Procurement Team!

Are you passionate about procurement and looking to make a significant impact within our Combined Authority in the north east region?  We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to join our team.

About the role:  

As a Procurement Officer, you will support the procurement team in delivering a wide range of procurement activities.  You will assist in the development of procurement documents, conduct market research, and ensure compliance with procurement procedures and policies.
 
Key responsibilities: 
 
  • Assist in the preparation and management of tender documents.
  • Conduct market research and supplier evaluations.
  • Support contract management and supplier performance reviews.
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide support and advice to internal stakeholders on procurement processes. 
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a procurement role, ideally within the public sector.
  • Good understanding of procurement processes and regulations.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Working towards or holding a relevant qualification (e.g. CIPS).
