This post is part time, working 25.92 hours a week, covering maternity leave until 31st January 2026. 

The working pattern for this role is ideally Monday - Thursday 6.48 hours per day 

Are you driven by making a difference and shaping young minds? Walkergate Community School is seeking to appoint a Phase Leader to support the senior leadership team and be accountable for the educational progress of learners within a designated learning phase. 

This is an exciting opportunity to effectively lead teaching and learining, develop one or more curriculum area and line manage a team of teaching and support staff. 

We are looking for a colleague who has: 
  • A demonstrable track record of excellent teaching practice.
  • Experience of managing a team of staff. 
  • Qualified teacher status. 
  • Ability to contribute effectively to the management, organisation and running of the school.
