Nursery Teacher – Part time (0.5). Fixed term until July with a view to extending this upon the success of the role.

Required for January 2024 or as soon as possible thereafter.

Westerhope Primary school are looking to appoint a Nursery Teacher who is passionate and knowledgeable about Early Years education and ensuring the children in their class have the best possible start to their journey in education.

We have a 39 place nursery which operates on a Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday morning and is closely linked to our Reception year group. Our provision is inspired by a Hygge approach and we use Wanderlust nature projects to engage and excite the children and bring the outside in. Our Nursery classroom has been recently renovated and you would work closely with the Reception team to continue to enhance the continuous provision to meet the needs of our children.
We are looking for a Nursery teacher who:
  • inspires the children and provides them with exciting learning opportunities and nurture so they can thrive
  • has at least 2 years of recent experience in the Early Years
  • has a track record of outstanding teaching
  • makes a contribution to the whole school, beyond Early Years
  • wants to be a specialist in Early Years education
  • is interested in continuing professional development and research
