We wish to appoint a committed, well-qualified and highly effective Level 3 Teaching Assistant to support a child with an EHCP and additional medical needs, on a 1:1 basis.

We are seeking an individual who will:

Have experience of working 1:1 with children with special educational needs.
Establish a supportive, caring and secure relationship with a pupil with a medical condition, ensure their medical needs are met to allow them to interact with others, engage in activities, and develop independence and a good level of wellbeing.
Be able to work on child’s EHCP targets.
Have experience of working closely with a class teacher/SENCO and other professionals.
Be flexible, pro-active and hands on.
Have vision, energy and enthusiasm for this challenge.
Be experienced in establishing and maintaining good professional relationships.
Support the Catholic ethos of our school.

The successful candidate will have:

Experience of supporting children with Special Educational Needs
A willingness to engage in training to support the medical needs of a child.
The ability to respond calmly and constructively when dealing with students with SEN.
An ability to provide engaging 1:1 Support.
Good communication skills.
Good organisation and planning skills.
