We wish to appoint a committed, well-qualified and highly effective Level 3 Teaching Assistant to support a child with an EHCP and additional medical needs, on a 1:1 basis.
 
We are seeking an individual who will:
  • Have experience of working 1:1 with children with special educational needs.
  • Establish a supportive, caring and secure relationship with a pupil with a medical condition, ensure their medical needs are met to allow them to interact with others, engage in activities, and develop independence and a good level of wellbeing.
  • Be able to work on child’s EHCP targets.
  • Have experience of working closely with a class teacher/SENCO and other professionals.
  • Be flexible, pro-active and hands on.
  • Have vision, energy and enthusiasm for this challenge.
  • Be experienced in establishing and maintaining good professional relationships.
  • Support the Catholic ethos of our school. 
The successful candidate will have:
  • Experience of supporting children with Special Educational Needs
  • A willingness to engage in training to support the medical needs of a child.
  • The ability to respond calmly and constructively when dealing with students with SEN.
  • An ability to provide engaging 1:1 Support.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Good organisation and planning skills.
