Highways Surfacing Asisstant, based at Alnwick
Permanent, 37 hours per week

Technical Services manage and maintain the Northumberland Highways and Structures network with a large team of highly skilled individuals working from various depots across the County.

You will provide assistance to the Surfacing Senior Team Leader managing the countywide road surfacing operation, helping to programme works, order materials, interpret drawings, liaise with contractors and internal colleagues as well as assisting with the day-to-day management of the internal resurfacing workforce.

You will also be involved in the NCC recycling and waste management for Highways activities including managing consignment notes for the movement of hazardous waste.
You must have a general standard of education and a wide range of experience in the Highways Resurfacing sector or other related field. A knowledge of the waste management sector would also be beneficial.
