Hours: Full Time, 37 Hours Per Week, Permanent, Term Time Only + 3 days (38.6 weeks) 

We are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team at St. Mary’s Catholic First School in Hexham.

The successful candidate will: 
  • Be an enthusiastic and motivated practitioner with high expectations of themselves and for our children 
  • Be willing to join our staff team to further improve outcomes for our children and participate fully in the life of our vibrant school 
  • Have an understanding of the needs of SEND children across our nurturing and inclusive school, supporting class teachers in reviewing short term SMART targets on SEND support plans 
  • Have experience of delivering a Phonics programme 
  • Be able to work with parents to provide the very best support for all our children 
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. 
  • A collaborative and cooperative approach to teamwork.
