We are looking to appoint Health and Social Care Officers who are enthusiastic, motivated and committed to working in a challenging yet rewarding environment. These posts involve working with adults who have profound multiple learning disabilities with additional complex health needs and service users whose behaviour may challenge.

You would be required to work as part of a team using person centred approaches to ensure that the needs and aspirations of service users are met appropriately. You will be expected to assist in all aspects of daily living including personal care, assistance with meals, and have some experience in working with people whose behaviour may be seen as challenging.

We will provide regular support, structured supervision and appraisal. In addition we offer training to meet national standards.

We are committed to protecting and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expect all staff to share this commitment. This post is working in regulated activity. If you are successful we will undertake additional recruitment checks which will include a check to see if you have had any criminal convictions, a check of police information and we will check the barred list(s). It is a criminal offence for a barred individual to apply for a job in regulated activity.

For an informal discussion, or further information, please contact Louise Hewitt 0191 2772577.
