In order to ensure that the success and stability of the school is maintained and further developed, St Wilfrid’s RC Primary School is looking for an inspirational, highly effective and compassionate headteacher to join our successful, nurturing school which is filled with wonderful children.

We are looking to appoint an exceptional, pro-active leader and team player who is guided by our Catholic Values. The new headteacher will build on the many existing strengths of the school and support and encourage all with a determination to ensure all members of our school community thrive and surpass their potential.

The successful candidate will:

• Be a practising Catholic who can nurture faith and spirituality and take the lead role in providing inspirational Catholic education based on our shared Gospel Values.
• Be passionate in promoting a clear child-centred vision.
• Be kind, inclusive, aspirational and ambitious for all our children, staff and wider community.

We can offer you:

• A fantastic opportunity to work with delightful children and supportive parents with the potential of a new nursery being added into the school community
• A warm and welcoming school, parish and wider community
• A professional and dedicated staff team who work together to provide the best education and support for our children.
• Working with enthusiastic and aspirational senior leaders.
• A supportive and collaborative governing body who share an ambitious vision for the future of the school.

The school is part of the St Margaret Clitherow Catholic Academy Trust. Currently the MAT comprises of 17 schools within the area. This will further develop our potential in our continuing journey to ensure that all children in our schools receive excellent teaching and care and as children made in the image and likeness of God, they are given every opportunity to use their God given talents to serve others and realise their full potential.

This Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Appointments will be subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure’ and other pre-employment checks.

We warmly welcome all applicants to visit the school and you are welcome to contact us to arrange an informal discussion. For a school visit please contact the school office on 01904 659726 to arrange a suitable date and time.
