About the role: 
As a Front-End Developer, your primary responsibilities will include: 
· Designing and delivering user-centred digital services across the council, from discovery to live service. 
· Designing and developing user interfaces for web applications using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other web technologies. 
· Ensuring the overall quality of the front-end code and user experience. 
· Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including developers, project managers, deliver managers and service managers, to define service requirements and ensure user needs are at the forefront of all service design. 
· Becoming embedded into our agile core website team, to deliver a best-in-class local authority Drupal website 
· Establish and maintain effective user research and engagement strategies to ensure that services are designed to meet user needs and expectations. 
· Developing and maintaining effective design systems and patterns to support the delivery of high-quality digital services. 
· Ensuring adherence to best practices, accessibility and industry standards, and project deadlines. 
· Staying up to date with the latest front-end development trends, technologies, and best practices.
