Further Information
Redcar and Cleveland are part of the national Family Hub Programme, jointly funded through the Department for Education and Department for the Health and Social Care.

The principles of the Family Hub development are that we will be more accessible to families, better connected and more relationship centred, building on family and community strengths. We will be transforming our Family Hubs currently aimed at 0–5year olds to a service for 0-19 years olds (25 years for young people with SEND) and building co-located and connected; face to face, virtual and digital services.

This post is an essential part of our Family Hub Team. You will have the knowledge to be able to provide information and signpost families to the range of support offered through the family hub and the family hub networks in the community.

You will have the ability to engage families and local agencies to take part in the services and activities on offer in family hub. You will provide the friendly ‘meeting and greeting’ of local families and other partners agencies into the family hub, provide general administrative duties including manning the reception area, collecting, and inputting data, using social media.

You will also be required to be the ‘go to’ person in the family hub and be responsible for the health and safety of the building including having key holder responsibility. You will be able to work flexibly including working evenings and weekends to allow us to extend our hours of opening to be able to support working families.

The successful candidate will have some experience of working with children and families, good communication skills, experience of administration and ability to work as part of a team. They will hold a NVQ level 3 in childcare, community development or business administration. You will be keen to take on new challenges as these arise and develop your own knowledge and skills.

The authority is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children/young people and vulnerable adults.

We are recruiting to 1 x full time post (37hr) and 1 x part time post (18.5hr rising to 26hrs in June 2025)
