The successful candidate will join the team at Preston Park Museum & Grounds at an exciting time. This year we are embarking on a major capital development, we are working to transform the visitor experience, enhance engagement with our collections and welcome major exhibitions to our region.

The opportunity has been created for an enthusiastic, creative and well-organised individual who has good knowledge and experience within an exhibition and interpretation environment.
 
The post holder will have a passion for delivering to a diverse audience and will be able to demonstrate their flexibility to deliver on a variety of tasks.
 
They will help to develop the museum’s permanent displays, deliver on a vibrant temporary exhibition programme, and oversee interpretation standards on the Victorian Street.
 
In addition to this they will assist the Exhibition and Interpretation Officer with the Government Levelling Up funded site redevelopment, which sees the opening of a new extension to the museum, open and visible storage, as well as a large exhibition hall for touring exhibitions – set to open in late 2025.

This post is for a temporary contract for 12 months.
