Events Coordinator
£20,066 - £22,249 per annum Permanent / Full-time position (37 hours/week) Teesside University Students’ Union (TUSU) is offering a fantastic opportunity within its Facilities & Events Department for an individual with experience of working in events to join the team. You will be working alongside the Facilities & Events Manager with a high level of responsibility. TUSU is consistently in the top 10% of students’ unions in the UK due to the high quality of activities and services we provide for our students. It has two modern, multi-award winning and superbly equipped venues, The Terrace (1st floor) and The Hub (2nd floor). Between them they have won 13 Best Bar None Awards in the last seven years and are widely regarded as two of the best social spaces in Teesside. There is a full student entertainment programme each week including regular club nights and live music, as well as a diverse range of external events comprising presentation evenings, conferences, birthday parties and full day and evening only wedding receptions. During the summer there can be several external events each week with wedding receptions every Saturday. Day to day duties revolve around the organisation and management of a variety of events including managing facilities, therefore experience is essential. You will be responsible for the line management of a number of student staff, largely acting as deputy to the Facilities & Events Manager, meaning management experience would also be desirable.
