An exciting opportunity has arisen within Sunderland City Council for the role of Estimator / Quantity Surveyor within Property Services reporting to the Minor Works Manager.

The role will be responsible for the provision of an efficient and comprehensive Estimating and Quantity Surveying function which provides new construction and refurbishment projects to a range of customers both commercial and domestic.  The ability to work as part a team is essential as this role involves not only working within the Technical and Operational Team within Property Services but also working with other colleagues across the Local Authority and partnering organisations.

The successful applicant will be educated to an ONC/HNC level or equivalent in a construction related activity; have a proven track record of delivering an estimating and quantity surveying function which includes, preparing financial information to external parties as well as administration of contract documentation and payment applications.  You will also need to have demonstrable experience of asbestos management procedures.
