This position is restricted to West Sussex Council Employees only.

You will work within the Children Missing Education and Elective Home Education Team to assist families, schools and other agencies and organisations to prevent children becoming 'missing from education' and identify those who are 'missing from education', to ensure children benefit from their educational entitlement.

You will pursue cases through support, investigation, intervention or legal action and promote the safeguarding of children and young people from abuse and exploitation. You will have a history of successful work with children/families experiencing difficulties, be highly focussed and work effectively in a wide range of settings. Educated to ‘A’ level standard or equivalent qualification or experience is essential.

You must be able to travel throughout the County including to locations that are not always easily accessible by public transport.

This position is subject to an enhanced Criminal Records Bureau Check.
