Required for September 2017, or sooner by mutual agreement. The governors seek to appoint a committed, experienced, enthusiastic, outstanding teacher with senior leadership experience.

Our school lies at the heart of the local community of Wheatley Hill and is supported by our dedicated parents, families and local community members.
At Wheatley Hill Community Primary, we use a whole school child initiated approach to teaching and learning, where we put the children at the centre of everything we do. Our exciting curriculum links pupil interests with real life experiences and quality outdoor learning. Our learning environments have been described as inspirational and are constantly evaluated and improved to meet the varying needs of our children. Our dedicated staff team and governors work hard to effectively support all children in our school, including those with Special Educational Needs and those attending our Enhanced Mainstream Provision for Speech and Language.

We want our new Deputy Headteacher to share our school values and ethos further enriching the excellent curriculum and teaching that we already offer our children. Our new Deputy Headteacher must be positive and enthusiastic and willing to apply educational research and new ideas to their teaching and support others effectively to do the same.

In return, our school offers a quality program of continuous professional development along a variety of leadership pathways. The role includes dedicated leadership time, during which our Deputy Headteacher will support others, manage school systems and support the strategic leadership of the school with the Headteacher and governing body.
