A fixed term professional and enthusiastic Environmental Health Officer is required to join the Environmental Health Food Team within the Public Protection Service. An Officer with a specialism in Food is required and holds the CIEH Environmental Health Registration Board Certificate or is working towards or has attained CIEH Chartered Status in Environmental Health.

The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated professional with the relevant level of experience in an Environmental Health background. It is desirable that the candidate will have worked previously as an Environmental Health Officer in a local authority and be competent to carry out food inspections.

This is a varied role to include all areas of Food and previous experience working in that field as an Environmental Health Officer is desirable.

This post is 37 hours per week, fixed term for 12 months.

The Public Protection Service is managed via a partnership with Capita and this post is a Council post seconded to Capita.
