Further Information
This is an exciting opportunity for dynamic people, who are passionate about improving the lives of children and families to join our locality teams, based within our Family Hubs, alongside a range of partners (health, education, housing, Harbour and other agencies).

You will be the lead worker within the team around the family, assessing family’s needs and delivering high quality interventions across community settings and within the Family Home. You will gather and act on the voice of the child when completing assessments, reviews and developing plans.

You will be assertive and confident, encouraging different and creative decision making, to ensure that wherever possible, families get the right support at the right time.

You will have good safeguarding knowledge and feel confident in decision making.

You will utilise the Signs of Safety approach to highlight what’s working well for the family and identify how this could be built upon using early intervention.

The post holder will:
• Carry out a thorough assessment of the whole family’s need, always involving the family and building on their current strengths and network, leading to a clear plan.
• Work independently, use tenacity, support and challenge with families and partners to ensure the right support.
• Liaise with team members and partner agencies to ensure that families are able to access services appropriate to their issues and lead to a sustained support network.
• Participate in the planning, facilitation and evaluation of activities and group work
• Use experience, evidence-based practice and training to ensure approaches used demonstrated significant and sustained outcomes for families are achieved.
• Input information into the appropriate database for tracking and monitoring
• Other duties as appropriate in line with the grade of the post.

For more information please contact Christine McMillan 07812982398 or Katrina Sales 07583007550

The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 and an Enhanced DBS disclosure, including Barred List Check, will be required.
