We’re currently looking for a Customer Service Apprentice to join our amazing Customer Service team on fixed term basis of two years to help us deliver exciting new changes across our organisation.

South Tyneside Council commissioned an independent review of the housing and wider services that are currently carried out by South Tyneside Homes and has made the decision to bring all housing related services back under Council control. The move will include a TUPE (Transfer of Undertakings Protection of Employment Regulations) transfer of all current staff employed by South Tyneside Homes and those recruited between now and when the transfer takes place.

A bit about what you will get up to…

We’re looking for someone who is passionate about delivering excellent customer service and is excited to work in our dynamic Housing Service Centre. You will work with a friendly, vibrant, highly motivated team that excels in delivering a first-class service. You will provide both individually and as part of a team excellent customer focussed delivery, offering a wide and varied range of services and resolving enquiries at the first point of contact for our internal and external customers.

Candidates must be prepared to handle a high volume of calls, LiveChats and delivering face to face services, whilst providing a quality service and have an aptitude for problem solving. You should have excellent listening skills, a professional and friendly manner and great IT skills.
