Our school is one of six primary and secondary schools within the NEAT Academy Trust family of schools. We have a national research school, which aims to build and strengthen networks of schools throughout the region and help them access effective education research and implement it in everyday practice.

Your main role will be to cover lessons and supervise whole classes across all subjects within Key Stages 3 and 4 when teachers are absent, although you will be deployed to undertake a range of other tasks related to student learning if no formal cover is required.

You will need a good knowledge of English and Maths at Level 2 or above and will ideally have higher level qualifications in order to effectively support students’ learning. Previous experience of supervising students in a secondary school environment is highly desirable and you will need to be able to implement school policies effectively to ensure students have appropriate behaviour and attitudes for learning and are safe.

The successful candidate must have relevant experience of working with young people within secondary education or be able to offer evidence of ability to succeed in this role.
