The Gateshead Housing Company is a non-profit organisation responsible for the day-to-day management of almost 20,000 homes.
We aim to provide excellent and efficient services to create homes and neighbourhoods that meet the aspirations of the people of Gateshead.
We employ over 700 people and involve our customers in making our services better.
Applicants are invited to join the concierge team who provide services to residents in four multi-storey blocks in Gateshead. You will play a key role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for residents.
The service is delivered seven days a week and concierge work a variable shift pattern of days and lates between:
• Monday to Thursday – 8am to 10pm
• Friday and Saturday – 8am to midnight
• Sundays – 11am to 8pm.
Your main duties will consist of: controlling access to multi-storey blocks and CCTV monitoring, and recording and reporting incidents to the appropriate services.
You will be the first point of contact for residents and visitors and it is essential that you can communicate effectively with customers and partners/agencies to deliver excellent customer services.
Additional tasks include maintaining accurate records, both written and on a computer system.
This will include monitoring the functionality of the CCTV, and door entry and smoke alarm systems, reporting any repairs as required.
You should also have the ability to work unsupervised and use your initiative to resolve problems.
Training will be provided in all aspects of the job.
