The Care Systems Team cover a busy helpdesk alongside working with people within the council and our external partners to ensure the systems meet Redcar’s needs and are fully supported.

We provide this service for Children’s Social Care (Protocol/LCS), Adult Social Care (Casebook/LAS and ContrOCC) and Education (Capita One). This also includes all the portals that are also provided to be used with these systems.

You will gain and develop skills in all aspects of Care Systems helpdesk call processing, identifying problems and solutions, whilst working towards an agreed academic qualification.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, hard-working, positive individual who is self-motivated and able to work using their own initiative as well as being a team player. The successful candidate will be committed to providing an excellent service and be willing to learn and develop their knowledge.

This is a fixed-term contract for 18 months, with opportunities to apply for permanent positions once suitably qualified and where posts are available. National Minimum Wage for your age will apply after the first year if aged over 19 years.

During your apprenticeship you will be working towards the nationally recognised Digital Service Technician Apprenticeship, level 3.

Essential Requirements
. You will need to have a minimum of:
Grade 4 (equivalent to Grade C or above) at GCSE English and Maths or functional skills level 2 qualification in English and Maths. 

You will need to be committed/willing to work towards the Digital Service Technician Apprenticeship, level 3. Applicants who have already achieved this qualification at Level 3 or higher will be ineligible to apply.

The applicant will need to have a good work ethic and the ability to communicate effectively with other members of staff and have a willing commitment to his/her personal and professional development.
