As a result of the ambitions for the City we have an exciting opportunity for a permanent, full-time Building Control Officer within the Building Control and Development Management Group.
Building Control is an integral part of the City’s development management service covering a wide range of work across the city including complex commercial developments, multi-faceted city centre schemes and a variety of residential applications. With a strong and supportive management team behind you, you'll play a key part in helping us achieve the objectives of the City Plan and drive forward our vision to create a connected, international city with opportunities for all.
Helping to deliver a healthy, safe and successful built environment, you will have good experience/knowledge in applying the Building Regulations, interpreting plans/construction specifications, plan assessment, dangerous structures/associated legislation and dealing with all aspects of building work that typically gets submitted into a lively City based building control team.
We need an enthusiastic person who can balance a full workload, work independently on a range of building regulation submissions and provide competent support to the whole team.
