Fixed Term posts for 2 years

South Tyneside Educational Psychology Service is a friendly, highly supportive and nurturing team of educational psychologists, specialist teachers and emotional resilience officers. The Service is very well regarded by its users, as is evident from the consistently excellent feedback it receives. It maintains highly positive working relationships with schools, other professionals and the Local Authority. There are opportunities to work alongside educational psychologists and engage in a wide variety of work, including training, therapeutic work, systemic work and research, using a range of different psychological tools and methods.

We are looking to appoint two Assistant Educational Psychologists to join the team. These posts are suitable for keen enthusiastic, conscientious individuals who are looking to develop a career as an educational psychologist. This post would be suitable for people already working within an education setting or those with some experience of working with children and young people.

You must have a good honours degree in Psychology and a keen interest in undertaking formal training to become an educational psychologist. These posts are therefore fixed term for 2 years.
