An opportunity has arisen for 2 X temporary Energy Officers to work within the Environment and Design team until 30th September 2019.
These posts are funded by European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) for England 2014-2020.
The post holders will be responsible for promoting and facilitating sustainable development, carbon reduction, energy efficiency, and renewable energy technologies within micro, small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) across County Durham in line with targets and outcomes of the Business Energy Efficiency Project (BEEP).
The post holders will also be responsible for completing in-depth energy audits of SMEs, identifying opportunities for financial and CO2e savings through energy efficiency, efficient processes and procedures and on-site renewable energy generation. The postholder will also provide dedicated support for the successful adoption of the opportunities identified alongside assisting with the delivery of events and workshops related to achieving BEEP milestones.
Applicants should hold an HNC or equivalent in a related discipline OR specialist professional energy management and/or energy auditing qualifications.
