An opportunity has arisen for a permanent Team Manager position based in our Looked After Children team, within Children's Services.

The Team Manager will be responsible for a team of children's Social Workers and a Resource Worker to ensure the smooth running of a highly efficient social work team, carrying out assessments and proactively planning with children and young people who are looked after on a permanent basis.

The successful applicant will have:

• Experience in managing teams/individuals in the social work field
• An ability to work within LSCB and departmental procedures and show a commitment to providing regular qualitative supervision to social workers
• Experience of multi-agency working is essential and an in-depth knowledge of the relevant legislation and best practice in respect of child protection
• DipSW / Degree in SW or equivalent
