Due to an internal secondment, the Wheelchair Service in Sunderland seeks to recruit a Team Manager to oversee the delivery of its specialist wheelchair services to adults and children in the city.
The post holder will be responsible for the day to day management of the service, and a multi-disciplinary team of assessors providing assessment and provision of wheelchairs and accessories from within its clinic base at the Independent Living Centre, and also to customers in their own homes in the community.
Applications are invited from candidates with an appropriate qualification in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy or Nursing.
The service sits within the framework of the council’s community therapy provision, with the post holder forming a part of the management team for the wider Occupational Therapy Service, and supervised by the Service Manager for this area.
